Given the choice, everybody wants to do their bit for the environment, right? But, for many of us it can feel like it requires quite a bit of effort.
That’s not to say people don’t want to make the effort, but in our experience if we’re working closely enough with our customers from the outset, then that effort doesn’t need to be taxing. And, it can save you a considerable amount of money.
As time ticks on, there is an ever growing need for us all to be more conscientious about the types of energy we use, the things we buy, and how we process our waste.
Yes, there’s always new government legislation coming in around climate change. And, we understand that many businesses need to maintain environmental policies – if only to retain accreditations that are vital to their company’s operations. But, for many of us, it’s not just about ticking boxes. We genuinely want to do our bit.
Thing is, it’s getting serious now. This year alone, Greenland Icesheets have been confirmed as melting beyond repair. It puts things into perspective, doesn’t it?
As a business that delivers commercial waste and recycling services, we know it’s our social responsibility to continuously seek new ways to help our customers reduce their carbon footprint. And, we know, it needs to be commercially viable for them.
The easiest and most effective way for us to help with this, is by listening to our customer needs (and we mean – really listen), offering education around unbiased service options, and by providing unique alternative solutions to help businesses recycle more.
So how do we do this? Well, all of our customers have their own dedicated account manager. And, when you start working with us, we’ll work with you to create a plan for your waste, one that’s environmentally savvy, and saves money.
This process allows us to understand not only your environmental aspirations, but also your business’s operations. Meaning – we can tailor certain aspects of our waste management service, so that it’s harmonised with how your business works. For example, we won’t promote waste collection methods that are biased to our service routes – we’ll go that extra mile, in order to collect what you want us to, when you want us to.
As well as working around you, we’ll also aim to educate. That’s not to teach people how to suck eggs. But, if you’ve been with another waste and recycling contractor for some time, then it’s possible that you’re segregating your waste to satisfy how they operate. This could be costing you more money than you need to spend, and in our experience, it isn’t always the most environmentally friendly approach.
So you see, being good to the environment, and doing our bit, doesn’t need to be as hard as we might think.
Also, if you’ve got the right waste and recycling contractor, you can improve your operations, save money, and make way for an easier life.
If that sounds good to you – get in touch, and let’s have a chat.
